How much does the course cost?
Each year the cost of the MA degree is determined by the Government of Israel since Bar-Ilan is a public university.
In 2011-12, the cost is approximately NIS 27,000, which is about $7,100. This is the cost for an Israeli citizen and new immigrant. Students on tourist visas pay 25 per cent more.
Students pay the NIS 27,000 over the course of the two years that it takes to complete the MA.
If a student requires more than two years, during the third or fourth year, the cost is at least an additional NIS 3,000.
If a student has completed all course work and takes an additional year to write the thesis, registration and addtional payment is required.
In the past, the Student Authority of the Jewish Agency has covered the tuition for new immigrants under the age of thirty who do not have a previous MA degree. This policy may be changing in 2012. Contact The Jewish Agency for updated information.
The Shaindy Rudoff Program has a few tution stipends for students who show great promise and are in financial need.
