Meeting and Parting / Moving and Writing at the Park Hayarkon in Tel Aviv
POSTPONED
Details Shortly
Relieve your tension and anxiety for a few hours in nature...
The Shaindy Rudoff Graduate Program in Creative Writing invites you to a one-day workshop with poet Marcela Sulak and choreographer Miriam Rother designed to break through writer's block and open you and your writing to new dimensions. All proceeds go to raise tuition for graduate students in need.
In this unique workshop we will develop a movement language to communicate our particular perception of meeting and parting. Whether it be a casual lighting upon or deliberate confrontation, a simple separation or turbulent rupture, our exploration and invention of movement will act as a stimulus for writing and provide prompts for poetry, non-fiction, fiction, and hybrid combinations of them all.
The workshop will take place in Park Hayarkon, offering us a variety of sites. In open grassy areas, on a bridge, and around an unexpected lighthouse, at the edge of the sea, we will encounter natural elements, interesting structures and most certainly our inner landscape. Should there be rain, we will meet under scenic overhangs on the river.
No movement or dance experience necessary.
