About the Library

About the Library

The English Literature and Linguistics Library, located on the top floor of building 404 (Sal), contains approximately 80,000 volumes and 200 periodical subscriptions (journals and ejournals). The collection includes English and American literary works, critical writings and a serious selection of books on linguistics. We also have books on science, art, theatre music and history.

Our aim is to provide up-to-date research tools for B.A. students, graduate students and faculty.

The library serves the entire student body and faculty of Bar-Ilan University, as well as students and faculty from other universities through interlibrary loan. Library services include circulation, information on bibliographical reference works, and instruction on online databases.

Reserve Shelves and Syllabi

The reserve shelves offer students easy access to the materials they need for their courses. Many of the required books listed by professors for their classes can be found there, arranged under the professor's name.

To find out which books are required for a course, you need to check the syllabus. Links to syllabi can be found on the department's timetable pages.
