BA Requirements - before 2015-16
The English Department is instituting slight changes in the BA requirements starting in 2015-16. Students who began their studies before the fall of 2015-16 are still subject to the old requirements, which are listed below for their convenience. In case of any problem due to this change, please consult with our office staff or the undergraduate coordinator, Prof. Michael Kramer.
Note: The 2015-16 program includes electives in the 6xx range level. Students who began before 2015-16 are welcome to choose from these as part of their electives, but should note that 6xx-level courses do not offer a seminar paper option.

Majors in English literature can choose between two tracks:
Planned major - majoring in both literature and linguistics, all within the English Department;
Unplanned major - majoring in literature in the English department and taking another major in another department.
